Hey,
feature that I would be likely to see in Giada may be useful in DJ/live performance for users of midi controllers (especially the simple ones).
So, I'd like to see some kind of cursor possible to being moved by MIDI controls (moving it in each direction).
That cursor may highlight one proper channel (or one column/row) and user would be able to control parameters of each highlighted thing using one MIDI control. So that would be useful in triggering sequences from a big library-organised project (also some DJ controllers use such an approach to load a track from library to deck).
Also multiple cursors of such a type may be useful in some kind of performances.

Re: Channel select/trigger cursor
Yeah, I've been thinking the same. Launchpad even has "arrow buttons".
How on earth should I use, say Launchpad or APC40, to i.e. arm a specific channel? The button itself turns it on or off.
So I've been thinking. How about pushing a desired channel button while holding an "arm" button? Like Ctrl+foo shortcuts. Should be possible to implement and give ridiculous amount of new possibilities.
Would that satisfy your needs?

Re: Channel select/trigger cursor
Hey, the idea of a "select" state for each channel is good and promising. We are considering this!
