Hey guys,
I just starting with Giada and I'm enjoying a lot. I'm trying to recreate the Enigma sadeness beat, but I'm miserly failing it. Could someone point me to the right direction?
Cheers,
Castle

Re: Enigma beat
Exactly!
I really like that beat, so I'm trying to recreate it using Giada. I know Enigma uses Roland TR 909 for the drums and I have all the samples. I created two sample channels, one for the kick and one for the closed hat. I'm trying to use the action editor, but no lucky so far. Any tutorial in how to use Giada as a drum machine would be great.

Re: Enigma beat
Funnily enough we are working on this exact kind of how-to for the one page tutorials section here!
In a nutshell:
In a nutshell:
- create a sample channel to hold your sample;
- set the sample channel mode to "one-shot retrig" (
), which works best for drums;
- open the Action Editor by clicking on the channel's button and select "edit actions..." from the drop-down menu;
- in the Action Editor, draw the actions the sample should perform;
- when done, enable the
button on the sample channel. This will instruct the channel to read its actions;
- rinse and repeat for each channel you want to drive with actions;
- press the play button on the main transport and enjoy the show.
